XSI pdf books - are there any out there?

Hi - I am looking for a basic PDF primer for XSI.

I found one for Maya that is very good and covers the basics well. I can't seem to find one for XSI - does anyone know of where I can find one ?

Any help would be appreciated.

(If you can recommend the best beginner book (paper) for XSI I would be grateful - I know Maya to a degree)

The documentation that comes with XSI is not PDF, but still it's in html format, with links, and it prints well (I printed a couple of pages).

Sorry Benard, but the documentation that comes with XSI is available in both PDF and HTML versions. The only exception being the mental ray programming manual which is HTML only.

Consult the documentation CD.

Is there some reason why you might not have the installation disks adn thus not the standard electronic documentation that comes with the software?

I haven't bought XSI. I am thinking about it but need to know more about it - thats why I am looking for tutorials & don't have the official disks.

Also I can download pdf's at work. My home PC is not linked to the internet & I cannot therefore browse html pages (easier to take on large pdf file than flick through saving html content).

so...... if anyone knows of a good pdf tutorial for XSI i would be grateful.

I found a very good one for Maya that goes from the basics to animating salty the seal..... does XSI have one similar (a tutorial not a seal).

Is there a standard book (paperback etc) that I can get? What is a good XSI book to start with ? (Ie like Maya 4 Fundamentals (New Riders))
