Xsi screen resolution

I work under nt4.0 in 1280x1024:the bottom of my screen is always hidden by the windows task bar (where there is start etc...).The same when I increae the resolution of the screen.
How can I see both windows task bar and the whole xsi 2.01 scrren without missing the bottom ?

Display your defaut layout, save it as another name, then edit the new one.
I just make each layout's parts shorter in height. Then I can see the task bar

i prefer to have my taskbar options "auto hide" and "always on top"..this way only when u move your mouse pointer on bottom of the screen the taskbar appears on top of XSI interface.(without sacrifying my XSI full screen size).

If you want to work with the toolbar on top and still see your timeline then you'll need to use a different layout. I've got a "Toolbar Friendly" layout on my site. You can find it here: http://www.edharriss.com/SoftXSI\_tools.htm ...near the bottom of the page, under SOFTIMAGE|XSI Layouts. It's called Windows "Toolbar Friendly" and "NTSC size" XSI interfaces.

On the XSI2.0 presentation in LA I saw many different layout that are good for modeling, texturing, compositing etc, is there any chance to get them from somewhere, or are you gonna make them someday? Honestly it feels like softimage should release these layouts. Another question I have is how to make a layout with small buttons on the button to switch them and having the same windows, like viewports in several tabs. It seams like whenever I add the same UI element to the tab it erases it from the other tab, which is pretty sad ;( . Also there is no way (that I know) to do just one small viewport and everything else as different windows and save it as a layout, which also bad too. Any help from our expert Ed would be greatly appreciated

Ahhh. Also.. a suggestion.. Ed, you layout doesn't really work good with 2.0, because of their new packaging and lacking couple menues.. Well this is of cource not a critique, because I more then thankfull for those layouts that I used all the time in 1.5, just a small suggestion

I made a new layout for xsi 2.01 that fixes the problem with the hidden animationmenu. Also, this layout has all the buttons and menus that are missing in Ed Harriss version. Here is the link: xsi layout To download please right-click and select "save target as.."
To install this layout go to File->Add-on->Install
I think this layout also works for 1600*1200
