XSI vs. Houdini for heavy organic character anima

First of all, your budget will decide it all.
XSI is less expensive then Houdini Master.

And really, if you choose Houdini or XSI is up to you. It really comes down to the artist more. The program won't make your work good, its your own talent.

However, if you must ask, XSI would seem to be a better choice then Houdini if you wish to focus on character animation.

First you'd better hire someone who knows how to do 1-4. Ask them which platform they know how to do those things on. Buy it.
