Xsi's anti-aliasing

I've noticed that when I use the default: "min-1 max+2" I still get jagged edges, but by boosting it up a bit, render times get prohibitive, and sometimes the jaggies are still there.

What's the usual settings for production quality, and is there anything I could do to speed up the rendering at those settings.

min:-1
max:2

treshold:
0.05
0.05
0.05
0.05

Gaussion filtering type
X:3
Y:3
