yeah no kidding. pixologic better get their act together, and SOON. horrible interface, nonintuitive and clunky mouse controls (ever heard of a third mouse button? i didnt think so), idiotic navigation system- as great as it is, it suffers from HUGE flaws and they're almost big enough to render this software completely useless in my opinion.
i really hope 2.5 is a usable piece of software now. you shouldnt have to watch a whole tutorial DVD on NAVIGATING a menu okay?
You know I totally agree, I'm a skilled artist and I have to say learning Zbrush has been the BIGGEST drag.
Zbrush's interface is like one HUGE workaround after another. Don't get me wrong Zbrush is amazing but I really hope that Zbrush 2.5 has a better interface, that actually lets you get some art done.
10 hours of Training videos to just start off with is rediculous. I feel like Meats Meier is my best friend and I've never met him, LOL. In case Meats is chiming in, Hey Buddy.
EDIT Big edit here. While I'm still interested in the next release of Zbrush, I don't know if I will purchase it. I have just tried the trial version of Mudbox and I'm almost 100% sure that I
will be purchasing Mudbox instead of Zbrush 2.5/ 3.0 or whatever.
Mudbox = Learning in minutes and hours.
Zbrush 2 = Learning in months and years + Tutorials + spending lots of money to learn it.
