Hey am I right in my understanding that Zbrush allows you to paint on textures in 3D and thereby allowing you to not have to worry about UVs but just paint onto a model as though it was a bit of pottery or something?
I've not had much of a look at Zbrush yet, but if that is actually possible, I might be forced to have a poke around there. Also, if this IS possible, what would be the outcome of exporting from Zbrush to Maya to rig up and animate... would textures come across as UVs in some manner so that the export looked the same in maya or something like Unity as in Zbrush?
Anyone able to clarify what is actually possible there?
